The Stratford Family
Right on the beach front at Curio Bay in the Catlins...
Nick, Dani, Noah and Zoe Stratford run a small accommodation business right on the beachfront in the Catlins, South Island, New Zealand.
Nick was born and raised locally at Progress Valley where his family still farms. He is a personal trainer and massage therapist and played rugby in New Zealand and Japan. An injury cut his rugby career short and after travelling and working overseas he came back in 1999 to start farming and a small accommodation business. Dani is a teacher from the Black Forest in Southern Germany. We have two children, Noah (13) and Zoe (11).
Sheep and beef farming is our main business working over 380 ha of land which runs about 2400 sheep and 100 cattle. Our seven farm dogs do most of the work.
In our free time we love outdoor activities like biking, hiking, surfing and paddle boarding.
We enjoy meeting people from all over the world and sharing this special part of New Zealand with you.
